For the record: Wyoming (4-7, 1-6 MWC) lost 22-14 at UNLV on Thursday night.
Streaking: Wyoming has won the Border War the last two times it was played in Laramie (2006 and 2003).
Who’s hot: Senior RB Devin Moore leads the Mountain West in rushing, averaging 111.2 yards per game, which ranks 15th nationally.
Who’s not: Wyoming coach Joe Glenn has been very candid all season that he needed to take the Cowboys to a bowl to retain his job. Glenn’s woes are directly attributed to a turnover ratio of minus-2 a game that is second worst in the nation. CSU rallied around its coach in his final game a year ago; expect the Cowboys to do the same.
Key stat: Three Wyoming QBs have combined for 17 interceptions against only seven touchdowns this season.
FYI: Wyoming athletic director Tom Burman reiterated to the Casper Star-Tribune that no decision will be made on Glenn’s job status until after the season.
Injuries: None.
Coachspeak: “I loved it when I came here for the first time (as a player) and saw how important it was. It becomes a part of your soul. Our kids are going to realize how important this game is.” — CSU coach Steve Fairchild, on the Border War
