TAMPA, Fla. — Buccaneers running back Earnest Graham could be lost for the season after injuring his right ankle during Sunday’s game against the Vikings.
Graham was hurt on his only carry in the Buccaneers’ 19-13 victory, limping off after landing awkwardly when he was tackled after a 3-yard gain.
“I don’t have the exact medical terms,” coach Jon Gruden said Monday, “but I will say right now, it doesn’t look like he’ll play any time soon.”
Hasselbeck apologizes to Cardinals
RENTON, Wash. — Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck apologized to the Cardinals for saying “the only thing that makes me feel good is knowing there will be some fines coming out in a couple days” for hard hits against him during Arizona’s 26-20 victory Sunday.
“I probably owe them an apology,” he said. “I think they played hard. I think they played physical. I think they played within the rules, and with class. So I regret saying that. In fact, I hope nobody gets fined.”
