A head-on crash on Colorado Highway 287 in Boulder County Wednesday afternoon killed both drivers, the Colorado State Patrol said today.
Crash investigators said Mark S. Donaldson, 56, of Longmont drifted into the oncoming lane, where his Cadillac CTS hit a GMC Yukon driven by Mary Mayer, 62, of Louisville.
Passersby pulled Donaldson from the wreckage, but he was already dead, troopers said. Mayer died from her injuries at Longmont United Hospital.
Troopers are investigating whether a medical emergency caused Donaldson to swerve.
