A woman has sued a former Denver police officer, claiming he sexually assaulted her in a Taco Bell bathroom last year.
The lawsuit was initially filed in state court in July but was removed and sent to U.S. District Court in Denver on Wednesday.
Former Officer Randy Hurst, police Chief Gerald Whitman and Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper along with the city and county of Denver are named as defendants.
Hurst was fired by the Police Department. No criminal charges were filed against him.
