LAKEWOOD — Lakewood police say Shawn Patrick Brndiar was the man who grabbed a Taser from a police officer and shocked her before her partner shot him Wednesday.
Brndiar, 33, who was wounded in the torso, was hospitalized and will be transported to the Jefferson County jail after his release.
His wound is not life-threatening, said police spokesman Steve Davis.
The officer he Tasered was treated and has been released from the hospital. Brndiar faces second-degree assault and resisting-arrest charges. In addition, there were some outstanding warrants for his arrest, according to authorities.
