The Aspen Skiing Co. expects business to be down by 5 to 15 percent this season but doesn’t plan to cut staff or close any ski runs.

David Perry, senior vice president for the mountain division, says the company doesn’t want service to suffer despite the “unprecedented” economic downturn.

He says the resort plans to hire about 3,500 people, the same as last season.
