VAIL — The foundation that operates the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek is holding off on any decision to change its name after benefactor Alberto Vilar was convicted of fraud.
The Vail Valley Foundation board decided Monday to make a recommendation to the Beaver Creek Resort Co., which used to run the center and still has a say in its operation. Beaver Creek Resort officials will meet in a couple of weeks. The foundation has declined to make its recommendation public.
