GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo.—Lights, camera—no action. Because there’s no snow.

Glenwood Springs marketing and tourism officials were excited when ABC’s “Good Morning America” was set to feature the western Colorado city sometime in December, leading into the Christmas holiday.

The segment was to feature the Hotel Colorado and its annual lighting ceremony, which occurs the day after Thanksgiving. But there’s no snow to give the mountain town a cozy winter setting for the cameras.

The TV show’s producers say they’re looking at Vail for the segment—but it depends on whether there’s snow.
