Today’s men’s World Cup downhill at Beaver Creek is taking place as scheduled, beginning at 11 a.m.
Heavy snow forced cancellation of Wednesday’s downhill training run and Thursday’s super-combined race, but blue sky and a clean track greeted racers when they arrived at the mountain this morning.
Racers to watch include Bode Miller, a two-time winner of the Beaver Creek downhill from Franconia, N.H., and World Cup legend Hermann Maier of Austria.
