ST. GEORGE, Utah — Colorado Mines jumped to an early 10-point lead, but Western Washington rallied in the second half behind two Adam Perry touchdown passes for a 25-10 win in the Dixie Rotary Bowl on Saturday at Hansen Stadium.
In rattling off 25 unanswered points, Western Washington (6-5) got two scores on Perry-to-Cullen passes of 8 and 11 yards. Trailing 10-0 in the second quarter, Perry put the Vikings on the board with a 1-yard run for a TD.
Colorado Mines (8-4), the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference runner-up playing in its second Division II bowl game in as many years, got an early advantage after Colin Baker’s 33-yard field goal and Corey Huck’s 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
Perry finished 21-of-33 passing for 275 yards with two touchdowns. Mines quarterback David Pesek was 18-of-35 for 137 yards with three interceptions.
