Two people died at Keystone Resort in unrelated incidents on Saturday, according to Summit County coroner Joanne Richardson.
Adam Delaney, a 28-year-old Englewood resident, died after hitting a tree while snowboarding on the Prospector Run at Keystone.
Delaney, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered a closed head injury and skull fractures and was taken to St. Anthony Central Hospital Central in Denver, where he was pronounced dead at 3 p.m.
William Sanko, 69, of Castle Rock was the second fatality. He was found unresponsive at the junction of Silver Spook & Modest Girl ski runs on Saturday morning.
Richardson said there was no evidence of a collision or trauma and that Sanko, who was skiing at the time, appears to have died of a medical event.
She has ordered an autopsy on his death.
