The Rockies will finish off their 2009 Cactus League season in Las Vegas.
The club announced today that its final two exhibition games will be against the Seattle Mariners on April 3 at 7:05 p.m. and April 4 at 1:05 p.m. (MDT). The games will he held at Cashman Field as part of Las Vegas’ “Big League Weekend.”
The Rockies are returning to Las Vegas for the first time since March 27, 2003 when the Dodgers defeated the Rockies, 5-3, before a crowd of 9,966.
After leaving Las Vegas, the Rockies return to Arizona where they open their 2009 regular season on April 6 against the Diamondbacks at Phoenix’s Chase Field.
The Rockies’ spring-training season begins on Feb. 25 with a home game against the Diamondbacks at Hi Corbett Field in Tucson.
