Feed the hungry
Help the Conscious Alliance and Whole Foods meet their goal to raise $25,000 for 2,500 meal boxes to American Indian families in December.
Conscious Alliance is a nonprofit that organizes food drives at concerts and sports events to benefit food pantries and Indian reservations. A $10,000 grant from Whole Foods kicked off this year’s drive. The food will go to communities in Denver, South Dakota, Montana, New Mexico and Louisiana.
The Conscious Alliance hosted its first food drives at the Fillmore Auditorium here in 2002, and has gone on to collect and distribute more than 500,000 pounds of donations to food pantries across the country.
