ENGLEWOOD, Colo.—Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall has been named a starter and quarterback Jay Cutler a reserve for the AFC squad in the Pro Bowl.

Both are third-year pros and both are going to the Pro Bowl for the first time.

Marshall is tied for fifth in the NFL with 88 receptions. He’s the seventh Denver wide receiver named to the Pro Bowl and the first since Rod Smith in 2005.

Cutler has 3,851 passing yards, best in the AFC and third in the NFL. He’s the third Denver quarterback to win the honor, after John Elway, chosen nine times, and Brian Griese, chosen once.

The Pro Bowl will be played Feb. 8 in Honolulu.
