Morgan Broekhuis’ accolades keep coming. The 6-foot-5 junior at Colorado Springs Christian has been named Colorado’s Gatorade volleyball player of the year. The two-time Class 3A player by The Denver Post helped C.S. Christian (28-2) to its fifth consecutive state title the past month. Broekhuis, a finalist for the national honor, has a 4.26 grade-point average and is active in her school, church and community.
