RockyGrass has been going strong for 37 years, and its 2009 installment shows no signs of letting up. The early lineup includes roots and folk luminaries Steve Earle & the Bluegrass Dukes, Claire Lynch Band, Del McCoury Band, Hot Rize and many others. The Planet Bluegrass-organized festival takes place in Lyons from July 24 to 26. Tickets and camping are now on sale, including limited discount three-day passes. ($100, )

Geek Bowl 2009 is the culmination of a year of boozy trivia-hunting at bars around the region, and event organizers Geeks Who Drink want you to know the third annual installment is likely to sell out (again). Tickets are on sale for the Jan. 24 event at the Oriental Theater. ($25, )

Richie Havens leads the Jan. 11 installment of etown, the Boulder radio show that blends music and conversation. Tickets for the Boulder Theater show with Angel Taylor are on sale. ($15, )
