MILWAUKEE — Federal regulators have approved two versions of a new zero-calorie sweetener developed by Coca-Cola Co. and rival PepsiCo Inc., paving the way for new products.
Cargill Inc., which is marketing Coca-Cola’s Truvia, said Wednesday it has received notification from the Food and Drug Administration. The panel said it had no objection to the product, calling it “generally recognized as safe,” Cargill said in a news release.
