Colorado’s mountain casinos posted a 15 percent drop in revenue in November, continuing their year- long slide.
Casinos in Black Hawk, Cripple Creek and Central City reported adjusted gross proceeds — total bets minus payouts — of $56.7 million last month, down from $66.7 million in November 2007.
Black Hawk’s 18 casinos had $40.6 million in revenue, Cripple Creek’s 16 casinos had $10.9 million and Central City’s six casinos had $5.2 million, according to data released Thursday by the Colorado Division of Gaming.
The industry has posted revenue declines every month in 2008 amid the economic recession, a smoking ban that extended to casinos in January and high gas prices during the first half of the year.
