COLORADO SPRINGS — A Colorado Springs post office is back open after being evacuated following the discovery of a suspicious bag outside the building.
A police bomb squad was called in to investigate after a customer spotted the package was found at the Montebello Drive postal facility about 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
The building and surrounding streets were reopened about 11:30 a.m. after authorities determined there was no threat.
Police Lt. Brian Ritz said the bag was probably left by mistake, and that nothing inside identified the owner.
