LARIMER COUNTY — The Colorado State Patrol says two people are dead and four others injured following a traffic crash on U.S. 287 about 20 miles north of Fort Collins.

The three-vehicle wreck happened about 4:10 p.m. Thursday and shut down the highway between the Wyoming border and the junction of Colorado 287 and 14.

Two people died at the scene, and four others were transported to area hospitals.
