EL PASO COUNTY — A 28-year-old Security woman has been arrested in a fatal shooting near Fort Carson.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said Denise L. Presson was taken to the county jail in connection with the shooting Thursday night of Victor San Miguel, 28, outside his mobile home on Piute Road, off Colorado 115.
The shooting happened about 9:15 p.m. Deputies arrived to find San Miguel lying on his porch with a gunshot wound to his chest and were told the shooter had fled. Attempts to revive San Miguel were unsuccessful.
Presson was arrested after she arrived at a home at 514 Norman Drive in Security, where she lives with her mother.
Officials said Presson is the sister of the victim’s girlfriend. The Denver Post
