COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Authorities say a 28-year-old Security woman has been arrested in the death of her sister’s boyfriend.
Lt. Lari Sevene of the El Paso County sheriff’s office says Denise Preston is accused of shooting and killing 28-year-old Victor San Miguel on Thursday night during a fight outside his mobile home near Fort Carson.
Sevene says San Miguel’s girlfriend and her two children, ages 5 and 12, were at home at the time but weren’t injured.
Preston was arrested at her home later that night. She was taken to the El Paso County jail, where she was being held without bond.
An autopsy on San Miguel is planned for Saturday.
