Colorado senators will have to wait at least one more year to join their colleagues in the House on television.

Sen. Josh Penry, R-Grand Junction, said there is not enough money to start rolling the cameras in that chamber. Penry is a member of the managing board for the Colorado Channel.

The Senate has been wired to start transmitting but needs to raise $130,000 to go live. Fundraising efforts by outgoing House Speaker Andrew Romanoff allowed the Colorado Channel to debut last year on Comcast Digital Cable and online, at .

House Speaker-elect Terrance Carroll of Denver said television for the House will continue this year.
