COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Authorities say carbon monoxide poisoning is what killed a 22-year-old woman whose body was found last week at her Manitou Springs home.

The El Paso County sheriff’s office says Kelly Murphy was found dead Wednesday. Her husband, Joel Murphy, called 911 and was directed to Manitou Springs Police Department.

The sheriff’s department says that when officers arrived, Joel Murphy and his 18-month-old son where inside the home and appeared to be disoriented.

Both were taken to a hospital, where they were found to have high levels of carbon monoxide in their systems.

The investigation continues.
