DENVER—Authorities say a 34-year-man is dead, following a farm accident in northeastern Colorado.

Weld County Undersheriff Margie Martinez says the man was working on the hydraulic system of a front-end loader Tuesday morning when a hose came loose and the machine’s forks fell on him.

Martinez says the accident happened on farmland in eastern Weld County, near the Logan County line.

The victim’s name has not been released. Martinez says he didn’t know if the man owned the farm or was a hired hand.
