Christmas is over, but the party won’t stop. After weeks of planning, shopping and stress, the holiday came and went. Now it’s time to charge headlong into a much- deserved weekend.
By the time you catch your breath and check your wallet, it’ll be New Year’s Eve.
Get out the the Google Calendar, Palm Pilot or whatever device keeps track of things: There’s a lot of fun to be had in the next week.
Tonight, the Hi-Dive (7 S. Broadway) hosts “The Holiday Come-Down.” Wear your brand-new socks and underwear and get down with DJs Jalapeño, Tyler Snow and Mike Disco. The dance party starts at 9 p.m. — plan your escape from family activities now. Advance tickets are $5 at hi-dive.com.
Hanukkah is still in full effect, and on Saturday Birthright Israel NEXT hosts a Hanukkah celebration tailor-made for the cocktail set.
“Illumination” is the Denver link in a worldwide chain of Hanukkah parties sponsored by Birthright Israel.
Check out art on display from Arcos Azules Gallery while munching on gourmet Hanukkah treats. Sip on a drink from the open bar while plucky folksters Paper Bird entertain.
Join the fun at 8 p.m. at Gallery 1261 (1261 Delaware St.). Admission is a donation of three canned goods, a warm clothing item or $5 to $20. All the proceeds will go to charity.
The “New Year’s Nation” blowout at The Curtis Hotel (1405 Curtis St.) has a similar concept: On Wednesday, the party will unite New Year’s revelers in 10 cities across the United States.
The cities will link up via live broadcasts at each site. Travis Barker and DJ AM “headline” the party, spinning from Los Angeles and apparently fully recovered from the plane crash they survived in September.
The $135 ticket covers everything New Year’s Eve requires: an open bar, a midnight champagne toast, food, music and dancing. Get the VIP treatment for an extra $50.

One of the longest-running parties this year is the Platinum New Year’s Eve at Club M (next to Hamburger Mary’s, at 700 E. 17th Ave.). It starts at 8 p.m. Wednesday and rages all the way until 5 a.m. Thursday.
There’s a cover — $15 for 21-and-up guests, $20 for ages 18-21 — but it includes party favors, a champagne toast and admission to the after-party.
Club M makes up for it, too, with serious drink specials. Jim Beam, Absolut and Skyy cocktails are $3, and VIP tables for eight are only $99, including two bottles of champagne.
Visit . for the full scoop.
The Jet Hotel (1612 Wazee St.) continues its New Year’s tradition with “NYE009,” a James Bond-themed extravaganza.
It’s the third year in a row that Jet’s gone with Bond. But the party’s website astutely notes that this is the last time to do it up spy- style until, well, 3007.
Dress to kill, of course, and prepare your liver for martinis galore. Check in with . for information and to purchase tickets — they’re $25 for general admission and $50 for VIP.
If dancing all night, black tie or no, is your aim, it’ll be hard to top the Glitch Mob show at City Hall (1144 Broadway) on Wednesday.
The California crew of laptop wizards — Ooah, Boreta, edIT and Kraddy — aurally assault audiences with their unpredictable brand of what could possibly be called mash-up.
This is isn’t sunny, clever mixes of pop hits, though. It’s loud, heavy and, most important, the bass is bangin’ through every mix. Hip-hop, metal, drum ‘n’ bass, electro, light classical: There are weird hints of everything thrown in, chopped up and distorted.
Opening the show are Free the Robots and DJ MU$A. Get tickets in advance — they’re $40 — at .
