FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Colorado State University Police Chief Dexter Yarbrough has been placed on indefinite leave amid a university investigation, but no details have been released.

University officials say Yarbrough’s administrative leave began Dec. 19. They say personnel rules bar them from discussing the reasons.

Yarbrough had no listed phone number and could not be reached for comment.

He has been university police chief and associate vice president for public safety since February.

The job pays $157,000 annually.
