COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Colorado Springs police say the death of a woman whose body was found outside her father’s house has been ruled a homicide.

Police said Friday that El Paso County coroner’s officials ruled that 38-year-old Margaret Sweet of Fountain died of a gunshot wound.

Police say her father found her body around 5:50 a.m. Thursday outside his home.

There was no word on possible suspects.

Police spokesman Lt. David Whitlock says Sweet filed a restraining order in May against an ex-boyfriend, but the man has been ruled out as a suspect.

Police released no other information Friday.
