Under the new Colorado Division of Wildlife licensing arrangement, most tags and permits purchased during 2008 remain valid through March 31, 2009. This includes small game, fishing, senior fishing, combination fishing and small game, fur bearer, state waterfowl stamp, habitat stamp and walk-in permits. In a companion arrangement, 2008 fishing regulations remain in effect through March 31. The fishing brochure for 2009 will be available sometime in March.
Colorado State Parks now operate on a 12-month timetable; permits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Pronghorn critique.
The Colorado Division of Wildlife will host two public meetings to gather public commentary on the Escarpment pronghorn herd, the premier gathering of animals in the Northeast Region. The herd incorporates game management units 87, 88, 89, 90, 95 and 951.
The meetings will be at 6 p.m. Jan. 14 at the Greeley Clarion Hotel, 701 8th St., and 6 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Sterling Ramada Inn, 22140 E. Highway 6. Comments also may be made by e-mail at jennifer.churchill@state.co.us.
