A $750 reward is being offered for information leading to the person who shot a dog with an air gun and left the animal to die in a frozen puddle.

Chilly, a 2-year-old Jack Russell terrier mix, was found just after Thanksgiving by a passer- by in Denver near South Quitman Street and West Mississippi Avenue.

The dog has had surgery to remove a pellet from her forehead, but a BB remains in her neck. Chilly is now running around and doing well.

Donors who would like to help with Chilly’s care can contribute online at or mail a check to Denver Dumb Friends League, 2080 S. Quebec St., Denver, CO 80231.
