(Letter received Dec. 28) For the Broncos to succeed in the future, one of two things must happen.
Shanahan must be forced to relinquish all of his responsibilities regarding evaluating talent and requiring talent, or he must be fired.
Shanahan clearly does not know how to evaluate defensive talent. It does not benefit the Broncos to have Champ Bailey if most of the other defensive players are a bunch of stiffs.
Shanahan has had 10 years to build a dominant football team since John Elway retired and has failed.
This community will always be grateful for bringing us back-to-back Super Bowl victories, but that was a long time ago. We want a winner now.
