Tyler Jewell of Steamboat Springs was seventh and Chris Klug of Aspen eighth in a World Cup giant slalom snowboarding race Tuesday in Kreischberg, Austria. Austrian Siegfried Grabner won the race.

In the women’s race, won by Austria’s Doris Guenther, Erica Mueller of Steamboat Springs finished 22nd.

Fort Lewis women ranked 13th.

The Fort Lewis women’s basketball team jumped eight spots to No. 13 in the USA Today/ESPN Division II coaches poll after winter-break wins over Northern State and West Texas A&M, which was ranked No. 4 at the time.

Adams State’s Dunning tops at 141 pounds.

Raymond Dunning of Adams State is ranked No. 1 at 141 pounds in the latest Division II poll from the D-II Wrestling Coaches Association, and his Grizzlies are tied for No. 6 in the team poll with archrival Western State.

Nebraska-Kearney, like Adams State and Western State a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, is third. Nebraska-Omaha it ranked No. 1.
