
International Sheep Shearing Contest
The fleece will fly as the world’s fastest clippers stack up the wool in an event that is both fascinating and thrilling, featuring competitors from the United States, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
Shearers are judged on speed, condition of the fleece, handling of the sheep (including nicks) and the animal’s shorn appearance.

The Mexican Rodeo Extravaganza
The show features the pageantry and competition featured at traditional Mexican haciendas, including charros, Escaramuza riders, bull riders, bareback riders, trick roping, live mariachi music, the Paso de la Muerte (Death Jump) and Mexican bullfighters.
When: 7:30 p.m. Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday

Cowboy Church
Cowhands, rodeo riders, vendors and visitors have flocked to Sunday morning services each year for the past three decades. The event is put on by the Colorado Springs-based Fellowship of Christian Cowboys.
Preaching and prayers are followed by a Mexican Mass, which includes communion and sacred music performed by a mariachi band.
When and where: 8 a.m. Sunday for preaching and prayers, followed by Mass at 10 a.m. at the Denver Coliseum.
