How much do tickets cost to attend a 25-second basketball game?

In just about the time it takes to count down a shot clock, the Colorado 14ers and Utah Flash will decide an NBA Development League game April 10 in Utah.

Has this fast-paced world gone too far? Actually, the teams are being forced to replay the final 25.2 seconds of a game Dec. 26 — originally a 104-102 Colorado victory.

After the game, Utah protested to the league office, saying guard Bill Walker’s foul with 25.2 seconds left was his fifth, not sixth, which fouled him out of the game. In fact, teammate J.R. Giddens’ second-quarter foul was mistakenly given to Walker by the 14ers’ official scorer.

The replay, a first in the league’s eight-year history, will precede the teams’ next matchup with the score tied at 102. But Walker and Giddens have been recalled to the NBA by Boston. And Colorado’s Sonny Weems is now with Denver.

Last season, the NBA had its first do-over since 1982 when Atlanta and Miami replayed the final 51.9 seconds of a Hawks win because the scorer ruled incorrectly that Shaquille O’Neal fouled out.
