CENTENNIAL — A man who was charged with killing an auto mechanic over work done on his truck was found guilty of first-degree murder today and sentenced to life in prison.
Justin Austin, 29, was sentenced in Arapahoe County District Court.
Austin was found guilty of killing Ron Nickerson, owner of 2 Brothers Automotive in Englewood. Austin shot him in the face with a shotgun in May 2006 over work Nickerson performed on his truck.
Austin fled to Mexico after the shooting but crossed back into the United States and turned himself in.
