The Denver metro area could get some light snow flurries overnight, but after that, get out the shorts.

The extended forecast calls for highs in the 60s by Monday and Tuesday, said Jim Kalina, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Boulder.

“It looks like it will be pretty mild and dry for the next week or so,” Kalina said.

In the meantime, expect an overnight low of about 17 degrees, with possibly a light dusting of the white stuff — at most.

The morning commute will be cloudy with patchy fog, but clearing by the afternoon. Thursday’s highs will likely be in the low 40s.

Friday calls for temperatures in the low to mid-50. But by Sunday the mercury is expected to be in the upper-50s to lower 60s. Ditto for Monday.

Tuesday’s temperatures will be in the lower 60s, Kalina said.
