Before Wednesday’s Columbine-Chatfield boys basketball game, the host Chargers honored former coach Gary Osse, a longtime Jefferson County figure. The first coach in Chatfield history (1985-2000) led the Chargers to a state championship (1992) and runner-up (1996), and he won 14 league titles, including his 13-year run at Wheat Ridge. He’s one of the most respected coaches in the long history of Jeffco athletics.
