The lusty romp that is Woody Allen’s “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” won the Golden Globe for best feature comedy at the 66th annual awards last Sunday, and three of its actorsRebecca Hall, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz — also were nominated.
Spain, however, may have been the real scene stealer of the film.
It’s tough not to pack your bags and jet off to find your own love story amid the pre-Romanesque churches of Naranco Hill after just a few minutes of “Vicky Cristina.”
Seen through the eyes of two American tourists — played by Hall and Scarlett Johansson — Barcelona is hip and energetic, while Oviedo, Asturias’ capital in northern Spain, looks warm and rife with hottie guitar players.
The film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on Jan. 27, and The Denver Post would like to give a copy to one lucky Paper Trails participant.
Here’s how to win: If you recently traveled to Spain and took your photo with a copy of the Travel section, or will be going there between now and Feb. 28, simply upload your picture to the Paper Trails blog at denverpost , following the instructions there.
