A man and woman were found dead in a rural home in Adams County this morning and authorities believe they were murdered.
The name of the victims were not released.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office Thursday night was executing a search warrant at the home on the 42000 block of East 144th Avenue, said sheriff’s spokeswoman Candi Baker.
“Foul play is suspected. It’s being handled as double homicide,” Baker said.
No suspects had been identified as of tonight, Baker said.
A neighbor was concerned about the residents of the home, and went inside and found an injured woman, Baker said. The neighbor called authorities for a welfare check at about 9:30 a.m.
Both victims were declared dead at the scene.
There was no indication that the deaths were a murder-suicide, Baker said.
