President-elect Barack Obama takes the oath of office on Tuesday, but would you be as successful in his shoes? A card game invented by Denver brothers Jeff and Charlie LaGreca re-creates the campaign trail with Hill Re-Clinton, Tina Fray, a Cupid- like ghost of Ronald Reagan, et al. Raise money, collect endorsements, and try to win all the states. A portion of profits goes to Denver’s Lost and Found Inc., which helps at-risk youth.

Snow is “bright in my hand/ and it is wonderful in my face/ wonderful wonderful wonderful,” writes third-grader Tyberius. Other poems are sadder. Fifth-grader Chris on his mother: “She’s not the same old/ “No, I’ll do it,” or “Let me do it.”/ No, she is, “Please help me get up” because of her surgery.
