VAIL — Lodges, restaurants and ski shops in Vail report business was good over the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.

Lodges reported a rush of last-minute bookings that brought them to or near capacity.

Diane Milligan, manager of the Rams-Horn Condominiums, said guests reported good weather and snow.

Lodges are reporting good advance bookings for the Presidents Day weekend Feb. 14-16, but managers are bracing for a lull until then.

Restaurants say business was brisk Friday and Saturday but dropped off some Sunday during the NFL conference- championship games. The Associated Press
