ORLANDO, Fla.—The Powerball jackpot was expected to grow to an estimated $25 million for Saturday after no one matched all six numbers in the midweek drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.
The numbers drawn were 20, 26, 38, 46 and 54. The Powerball was 23 and the Power Play number was 4.
Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $20 million jackpot.
Two Power Play tickets sold in Connecticut and Florida matched the first five numbers only to win $1 million each. Colorado’s top prize was $400 apiece for 25 Power Play tickets that matched other number combinations, Colorado Lottery officials said.
Powerball was created in 1992 and launched in Colorado in 2001.
The game is now played in 30 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
