FORT CARSON, Colo.—Officials say a wildfire on Fort Carson is 90 percent contained and is smaller than originally thought.
The Orchard Canyon Fire previously was estimated to be burning on about 250 acres. However, Fort Carson spokeswoman Karen A. Connelly says a new GPS survey shows the fire has burned only about 130 acres.
Connelly also says no injuries have been reported and no structures are threatened.
Firefighters from Fort Carson, Colorado Springs and El Paso County departments are fighting the fire.
