COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Garrett Roe scored two goals in the third period to lift St. Cloud State into a 4-4 tie with Colorado College.
Bill Sweatt scored an unassisted 4-on-4 goal just 28 seconds into the final period to stake Colorado College (13-8-6, 9-7-3 WCHA) to a 4-2 lead.
But Roe scored an even-strength goal at 4:38 and a power-play tally at 9:45 to salvage the tie for the Huskies (12-11-2, 7-9-1), who also got a power-play goal and two assists from Garrett Raboin.
Eric Walsky and Brian Connelly each had a goal and an assist for the Tigers.
Richard Bachmann stopped 27 shots for Colorado College, while Jase Weslosky had 26 saves for St. Cloud State.
Friday’s match marked the 74th meeting between the two teams. The Tigers lead the rivalry 40-29-4 after splitting four decisions with the Huskies last season.
