In a continuation of the Colorado Division of Wildlife’s efforts to establish an overall framework for big-game season structure for the five-year period 2010-14, the agency has scheduled a series of meetings in northeast Colorado to explain the process and gather public opinion.
The meetings are as follows: Feb. 10, Brush, DOW office, 122 E. Edison; Feb. 12, Fairplay, Park County Fairgrounds quonset hut; Feb. 17, Fort Collins, Hilton Hotel, 425 W. Prospect; Feb. 26, Denver, DOW education building, 6060 Broadway.
Stamp contest.
Entries will be accepted through March 6 for the contest to determine the next Colorado State Waterfowl Stamp art. Since its inception in 1980, sale of the stamp has raised some $6.7 million used to help preserve 19,500 acres of wetland habitat.
Subject for this year’s stamp is the Barrow’s goldeneye. Entry information is available at the Division of Wildlife website: .
