KABUL, Afghanistan — A police officer says a suicide bomber in a car attacked a convoy of foreign troops in the Afghan capital.
Gen. Zulmay Khan Horiyakheil said the bomber struck the convoy in Kabul’s western outskirts today, but there was no immediate report of casualties. Representatives of NATO and U.S. troops say they are checking the report.
Insurgents regularly launch suicide attacks on foreign and Afghan troops throughout Afghanistan, but the number of such attacks in the capital has decreased over the past year.
