PROVO, Utah—Jazmine Foreman had 10 points and five assists, leading Brigham Young to a 60-41 win over Air Force on Wednesday night.

Shawnee Slade and Mindy Nielson both added eight points for the Cougars (15-5, 5-3 Mountain West Conference).

Brooke Cultra paced the Falcons (4-17, 0-8) with 15 points, five rebounds and three steals. She was followed by Kim Kreke with 11 points and Raimee Beck with seven.

Beck and Liz Dunsworth both pulled down nine rebounds for Air Force.

A hot start by BYU, coupled with an ice-cold start by Air Force, saw the Falcons trailing 7-0 to start and 19-3 eight minutes into the game.

The Falcons shot just 27 percent from the field in the opening stanza, while the Cougars shot 46.9 percent and took a 41-15 lead at the break.

Air Force fought back with a strong second half, outscoring BYU 26-19, but the first-half deficit was too big to overcome.

The Falcons return to action Feb. 7, hosting San Diego State. Tip-off is at 2 p.m.
