If Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor can tackle “Dancing with the Stars” the way he did opposing quarterbacks, there’s no need for the eighth season of the ABC series. But, as they say in the biz, the show must go on. And so it will, beginning March 9. If Taylor, right, is to follow in the winning (cleat)steps of fellow NFL great Emmitt Smith, he’ll have to sack a variety of opponents — from computer guru Steve Wozniak to pop star Jewel and her husband, rodeo champion Ty Murray; to Olympic gold-medal gymnast Shawn Johnson, who, at 17, is the youngest competitor to date.
