PARKER, Colo.—Fire officials say wind and snow forced the pilot of a single-engine plane pulling a Valentine’s Day banner to make an emergency landing in a field.
The South Metro Fire Rescue Authority says the pilot was the only one on board the small plane that landed Saturday afternoon near the town of Parker, about 25 miles southeast of Denver. Firefighters say the pilot was not injured.
Fire officials say the pilot was flying to Centennial Airport from Erie as part of his business flying banners. This one read: “Happy Valentine’s Day Kim.”
