GREELEY, Colo.—Greeley police are investigating an early-morning shooting that claimed the life of a man who was sitting in his pickup.
Officers responded to several calls about shots fired at about 5:20 a.m. Thursday. Police found a 44-year-old man who had been shot multiple times in a pickup in front of his home.
He was pronounced dead on arrival at North Colorado Medical Center.
The man was later identified as Jeffrey Watson Sr., a mechanic for a Greeley trucking company.
The driver’s side window of the pickup was shattered, and the door had multiple bullet holes. Police say it’s not clear if the shooter was in a vehicle or on foot at the time of the incident.
Police say Watson was preparing to drive to work when he was shot. No suspect information was immediately available.
